Lego City
Last day of summer vacation was spent building a Lego city from the ground up. They started in the morning, and did not stop until I made them get in the car to go meet their teachers and find their lockers. When we got home, they gulped down some dinner, then headed upstairs to keep building.
Making the most of their last day. I’m really going to miss them, but am ready to get back to routines and daily structure.
And more patchwork.

September 9, 2009 at 10:35 amWe have had our own lego marathon going on here. We jsut bought that yellow house set and I love that it came with three sets of instructions so they can build different things with the same set. Good thinking Lego.

I am like you, I will miss my girls when they go to school, but am also looking forward to a routine and to be honest, a little break. I will still have two babies with me, but two children is a little easier than 4 children!

September 9, 2009 at 5:05 pmHow I love lego – it’s such a ‘clean’ toy with endless possibilites. I loved it when I was little (all those beautiful little houses that I wanted to live in!) and my children love it too. That little city is delightful.

We all adore Playmobil too, I hope they still play with it now they’re Lego mad. My boys and dd soon to be 5 love playing with their Go-Go Crazy Bones alongside both. They build them vehicles,buildings etc. As I speak they’ve built France in the kitchen and are currently ferrying hoards of tiny Go-Go Crazy Bones on holiday from the lounge!!!!!
I have to say alongside Brio both Lego and Playmobil have been the most value for money toys in our house.

buildings, etc. I believe that yellow set is a house (sorry I don’t remember
the name of the set), but it came with instructions to build 4 different
things, which is genius. Look around the Lego website, its all there and can
probably tell you where to find it near you.
