Lone Star
New quilt in progress. Lone Star, made of thrifted sheets and fabrics. It took me 2 episodes of This American Life to get the strips cut, strip sewn, and pieced this far.
Because it’s not about how much time things take in my studio. It’s about how many songs, podcasts, or episodes of House of Cards it takes to make it happen. The time part is irrelevant.

Very pretty combination of fabrics. I can’t quilt myself but love your taste in Public Radio and Netflix programs! Have you listened to The Moth or Snap Judgement? On Netflix I recommend “Cutie and the Boxer.” It might resonate with a creative like you!

I love the fabrics. Reminds me of my Gramma’s house. She had this color scheme through out her house. Still has some remnants of it now. Looks like a tricky pattern. Very nice.

I am so inspired by this! Lone Star is such a bear for me; lining up those corners and all that is just about impossible. Yours looks utterly beautiful. I’m looking forward to the reveal.
Many congratulations on your book–I can’t wait to see it. 🙂
