They have a larger eye, a sharp tip, and my preferred needle for crafts I do regularly, like chicken scratch embroidery. They are easy to thread, glide through the fabric, and are resistant to bending and warping.

Pro Tip- Did you know that if you are having trouble threading a hand sewing needle, you should try turning the needle around so you are threading from the other side. The eye of the needle is punched during manufacturing. Often there can be a very slight ridge on on side of the eye, making it more difficult to thread.
