Chicken Scratch Embroidery Sampler Workshop
In this workshop, Blair will demonstrate different embroidered border motifs using the vintage craft of Chicken Scratch embroidery. We’ll explore stitching and weaving combinations to create flowers, lace‑like bands, and geometric motifs, all while using the grid of gingham check fabric as our stitching guide. The resulting patterns can easily be changed and manipulated in many different ways. You’ll leave with a colorful border sampler, a head full of ideas for using Chicken Scratch on quilts and home decor, and quite possibly a brand‑new stitching obsession.
