Well, there were those Morrissey documentaries…


I won’t tell you there were big events or earth-shattering types of happenings that prevented me from blogging these past couple of weeks. I could. But I won’t. Instead, I will come clean and say that in addition to several of the aforementioned documentaries (which, it was his birthday), there were other unforeseen obstacles in my way, such as-

My kids seemed to be earning extra Minecraft time on my computer at every turn. (No photographic evidence, but trust me, this Minecraft stuff is REAL.)
 
There were some really exciting finishes happening in the studio that I have been more than happy to get lost in.

 
Like the quilt above, from Joelle Hoverson’s book Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts. I made this for Jenny. She had seen it in the book and loved it. I surprised her with my version, which will soon go to live in New Mexico, I’m told.
I may have to make one for myself now.

 
When I would sit down to write a new post, I’d click over to my blog and see that sweet bird dolly quilt, remember how much I liked it, and decide to leave well enough alone.

The pre-Memorial Day gigantic clean-a-thon that the entire Wise Craft household took part in. Every corner dusted, sorted, vacuumed, and mopped. (I haven’t slept that well in a long time.)
But all this to say, I’m here! Although I’m usually over here more these days. Hope you all are up to something great today!
