Project Description

This version of Blair’s Nuts and Bolts pattern was really the beginning of this pattern. She was asked by a young parents, who were fans of her work, to create a twin sized quilt for their young son, who was transitioning from a crib into his big boy bed. They sent all of his first year’s clothing and the work began. She asked (bribed?) her daughter to help her cut and prep the tiny clothes into pieces that could sewn together, and created the design that is now Nuts and Bolts. (If you look closely, you can see that Blair included a couple of the father’s pieces from his childhood.)

You can make your own Nuts and Bolts quilt design using our digital download pattern, or our printed pattern.
