Project Description

There is an old traditional story in the history of quiltmaking about patchwork called the “humility block”. Said to have been done intentionally to create an imperfect quilt, because only God is perfect. Blair has always been intrigued by playing with this idea, and her Spirit quilt is the result. A favorite tool plaid that was once a skirt on a thrift store clothing rack had been used to make tiny projects and stuffed animals for her kids, and by the time she was writing Wise Craft Quilts, there was only a bit of it left. She sewed into a quilt and created a strong contrast between the plaid remnant and the rest of the quilt in order to make it the feature. It immediately brings up many happy memories of the stuffies her kids were delighted to get.
