Chicken Scratch Embroidery Sampler PDF Pattern

$13.00

Nine different embroidery patterns inspired by the vintage craft of Chicken Scratch embroidery.

Learn the essentials of Chicken Scratch embroidery and create 9 different patterns! The vintage craft of Chicken Scratch embroidery has been around for a very long time, and it is known by many names in other parts of the world. But here in the US we know it best as Chicken Scratch embroidery. For this project, Blair is combining her love of Chicken Scratch embroidery and her love of vintage stitching samplers. The final project can become a mini- or wall quilt, a sewing machine cover (how Blair uses hers), a pillow, or something else entirely! This type of embroidery has always been stitched on gingham fabric (which I have lots of in my online shop), but while supplies last, I am also carrying a cotton fabric with a printed dot grid on it. Use the dots to stitch your patterns, and when you’re done, put the entire panel in cool water to make the dots disappear! Find it here in two colorways while supplies last!

This PDF pattern contains complete instructions to stitch up 9 different patterns based on classic Chicken Scratch embroidery. As well, it offers Blair’s best tips on choosing your gingham and threads.

PDF patterns are available immediately after purchase. You will receive a link to a file which you can download. You will have a limited number of tries to download the pattern file, so you should download onto a device where you can find it later and view it. See supply list image for what you’ll need to complete this project.

Please do not share files. Instead, encourage others who are interested to purchase their own pattern and support independent designers like me. Also, there are no refunds on downloadable PDFs. Thank you for your understanding!
