An encore workshop- Mindful Making in New Mexico with Quiltfolk

Hello! I wanted to let you know that the folks at Quiltfolk Magazine are going to be running an encore presentation of the Mindful Making in New Mexico workshop! I filmed this workshop in early 2022, right after Quiltcon. Quiltfolk workshop hosts Jenni and Kay came to my tiny little town here in the high desert of New Mexico and spent a whirlwind 3 days filming with me. It was fun and I love what we created together. Up until now, that workshop has not been available for on demand viewing.

The encore workshop will happen this Monday and Tuesday (10/23-10/24). Jenni, Kay, and I will be showing you the fundamentals of my favorite type of handsewing- chicken scratch embroidery. You will make a beautiful table runner with 3 different (exclusive) chicken scratch panels.

The individual panels are sized to not only be used in the table runner (of course), but they can also be used on their own as a pillow cover. I will be dropping into the workshop live as well.

If you are looking for some handwork to stitch on during the cozy winter nights ahead, look no further! Chicken scratch is easy to do while watching tv (unless you watch movies that are subtitled… in that case you’ll want to pay attention). The supplies are all fully listed out and ready to go, and be sure to visit the Chicken Scratch Embroidery section of my shop for gingham, thread, and any other supplies you might need.
