I’M EXCITED TO OFFER THIS COMPREHENSIVE ONLINE COURSE IN QUILTMAKING.
DREAM, LEARN, QUILT! IS UNLIKE ANY ONLINE COURSE YOU’VE EVER TAKEN!
IN THIS SIX WEEK WORKSHOP, YOU WILL-

❖  Learn to design your own quilt, instead of following a quilt pattern.

❖  How to incorporate special fabrics, scraps, or cherished textiles you’ve been saving into your quilt design.

❖  Learn sewing skills to create a beautifully made quilt that will stand the test of time.

❖  Confidently approach cutting into all those fabrics you deem special, without worry of ruining them.

❖  Learn new and different ways to approach quilt making if you’ve made a few quilts. You’ll find new directions to look for inspiration.

FAQ-

How long does the class last?

The class is 6 weeks long, beginning on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. A new lesson will be released each week, with the final lesson releasing on Monday, February 4th. You will have complete access to all the lessons and material until Friday, March 22.

Do I need to be available for the entire 6 weeks?

It is ideal if you can set aside a minimum of 2-3 hours each week to complete the lesson and keep current. I offer the class in such a way so that you can have complete access to me and I can help you along the way. If you miss a few days here and there, its not a big deal if you’re willing to jump back in and catch up.

I have made a quilt(s) before, would this class be for me?

I have had seasoned quilt makers in this workshop as well as beginners. Because Dream, Learn, Quilt! covers design as well as the process of quilt making, there is truly something to be learned by everyone. If you’ve made a quilt using someone else’s pattern, we will go over how to create your own design. If you would like to understand all the practical parts of making a quilt (what are the layers? how do you attach them?) that will be covered as well. I’ll also provide a deeper look into how to design your own quilt, how to interpret what inspires you, how to use the fabrics you are inspired by together in a design.

I’ve never made a quilt before and I’m just sitting here with a bunch of fabric I’ve saved, wondering what I should do with it? Is this class for me?

Yes! If you are familiar with a sewing machine, that’s all you need (besides inspiration and a willingness to sew). I will give you a rundown of the tools of the trade as I use them, help you understand all the practical parts of making a quilt (what are the layers? how do you attach them?). We’ll also look deeper into how to design your own quilt, how to interpret what inspires you, and how to use the fabrics you are inspired by together in a design. You will beam with pride at what you can accomplish!

These dates don’t work with my schedule, will you ever offer it again?

My best answer is yes, probably. I update and add to the class before each session, and I can’t promise it will ever be offered in quite the same way again. But it might. You should make sure you are signed up to get emails about online workshops from me. I’m excited to say there will be more online workshops coming in 2019.
