Crochet Hearts

crochet hearts
If you are looking for a fun, quick, addictive project (because I’m sure you, like me, are always finding yourself with nothing to do, right?), these small crocheted hearts are so sweet! I sat yesterday while the kids were at their after school activities and did a bunch of them. I think I’ll make them into a Valentine’s garland of some sort. I am mixing them with larger crocheted hearts (pattern found here) and maybe some miniature granny squares.

I always say I will use my stash for little projects like this. That’s why these are in this pink, cream, charcoal heather and grey heather yarn, it’s what I had on hand. But then, as usual, I start imagining other colors, that I don’t have.
It never really is about busting the stash for me. Not entirely. There, I said it…

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

NPR had an article about the show on this morning. Sounds very funny. I’ll be sure to check it out.

I am soooo excited about Portlandia, seeing that I’m a Portland girl myself and I love geeky funny TV.
I’m all over those little hearts. So glad I finally learned to crochet.

And my favorite line from the clip – “you can throw a bird on it and call it art.” Ha!!

These are sweet. Another reason to crochet. Thanks for the TV show tip — always looking for good comedies.

Adorable! I tell myself 4 times a day that I need to learn to crochet…
Also, I feel slighted by IFC. I mean, I am pretty sure the dream of the 90’s is still alive in parts of Seattle, too. (Man, is that song ever an earworm.)

How funny is that show! It really is a throwback to the 90s! Even though I love that crowd, they were ripe to make fun of! The chicken scene!

Too cute. I need to make a few hearts with my stash yarn (um, right). A mutual friend (greenclogs up there) was telling me about Portlandia today. I am going to have to check it out.

You will LOVE Portlandia! So hilarious. I wonder if people outside of Portland will find it as funny as we will…

Happy to pass along good TV, there is a real lack of it these days, and I need things to watch while I crochet : D

I know, I feel slighted too! We should keep the 90’s dream in Seattle a secret though, you think? We definitely don’t need more traffic on these streets : D

Isn’t it funny?? Time will tell what outsiders think of the show, but I absolutely love it, it is dead on in so many ways.

Gotta check that out! I never bust stash either. When making the napkins I didn’t have all the right coordinates so I ended up buying fabric…
Seven more weeks and life slows down, then I’m going to sit with you, a cuppa joe and a hook!
