My new daily practice class on Creativebug!
I’m excited to tell you about my brand new daily practice class on Creativebug! We’ll be making a Chicken Scratch Embroidery sample book all through the month of March.
Each day has a short, actionable lesson to teach you not only the basics of Chicken Scratch Embroidery, as well as give you confidence and knowledge to experiment and make your own patterns! At the end of the month, we will assemble all the work into an embroidery sample book that you can refer back to for chicken scratch inspiration any time. It’s easy to learn, super satisfying to stitch, and very portable (much more so than quilts!). I hope you will join us!

I also have added lots of new stock to my shop. All my favorite tools, fabrics, and threads for chicken scratch now have their own category. I took your QF workshop last year and besides being a wonderful workshop, I have definitely fallen for the chicken scratch. I have attached a few photos. The table runner from your workshop and some other things I have been working on. Can you explain a little how the CB workshop works? If I can’t get to it this month, can I do it in the future? The QF P&P was wonderful and I am really grateful that it has exposed me to different artists and techniques. You are all so supportive of each other and it benefits everyone. I have loved all of your interviews here at QADC. Just bought Arounna Khounnoraj’s Embroidery and visible mending books, an artist that you interviewed and who was also talked about on P&P. Ok, so maybe I am now a 53 year old quilty fangirl, but it is just very cool to see all of these amazing women creating beautiful art and inspiring so many of us out here. ox

Jenni and Kay have been amazing and I love how that workshop has brought me to your workshop. So much support and introduction to new artists and techniques. And through your workshop I have learned about other artists and ideas. I’m an almost 54 year old quilty fangirl! So many great women artists! ox
