Blair used the Clover White Marking Pen when she was stitching her Gridline black/gray gingham sample. It is recommended for making marks on black or dark colored fabrics, and was pretty much the best marker to see and not smudge like chalk.

Note- When you mark your fabric, it takes a moment for the mark to become visible. The ink disappears with use of iron with a little water.
