Meet Savannah!

Savannah is inspired by the patchwork of flora I have seen during my travels this summer.

This Block of the Month program celebrates everything I love about quilting, and I really can’t wait to share it with you! The quilts I was drawn to 25 years ago were the scrappy, patchwork-y quilts full of all different kinds of fabrics. In fact, that is literally what I thought quilts were supposed to be made like! I’ve made over 250 quilts since then, and you know what? I still love the quilts the are full of all kinds of fabrics. Savannah is best with lots of fabrics- the more, the better! But in the process of using all those fabrics, I will share with you all the foundation of using color value to create forms and shapes that make quilts like Savannah special. I will challenge you throughout the months, as we build the blocks, about how understanding color value can make you see fabrics you have in your stash in an entirely new way!
