Looks about the same around here. We’ve had nonstop “making” going on at our house since school let out. I love it. Enjoy and who cares about the mess.

Your moleskin books are really nice – and I think a great teacher gift for man or woman! I was just going back through your “Sewing” posts for inspiration and thought I was looking at my own photo for a sec – (Jan 2008) ’cause I have the exact same sofa as your inlaws. But I have gathered some energy to organize some “little things” in those pretty string bags that you made for your daughter.
Hurray! My summer just started today as well (I am a teacher.) I just wanted to say that Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was AWESOME! I was looking for a new book to read and read your blog the day you mentioned it – I could not put it down! Thanks for the reccomendation!
Thanks Estela, that beanbag gets a ton of use. It is sort of my own pattern, with some elements borrowed from Amy Butler's gumdrop pillow pattern. It was a big undertaking, but totally worth it, it gets used all the time.

I may give it a try I was getting ready to order the gumdrop pattern you mentioned and thought it might be too small. I love the fabric you picked! Hopefully mine will look as good as yours!
