Floraison Quilt featuring Indigo and Aster by Bari J.

Floraison Quilt
My friend Bari J has a new fabric line our for Art Gallery Fabrics, called Indigo & Aster. As always, it is full of her lush, signature florals. She asked me to design a new quilt to go with it, and of course I said yes. Especially when I saw the menagerie print full of her sweet animal portraits!
I thought it would be fun to try a pineapple block using the animal faces as the centers of each block, because, LOOK at them! The blocks frame each animal face perfectly. So sweet for a crib quilt or child’s room.

Maybe you’ve made a pineapple block, but you’ve only made a foundation paper-pieced version. Or maybe you’ve never made one before. Its a classic block with a lot of visual punch, all those angles are quite pretty. Its a favorite of mine. I hope you’ll try it!
