Friday Favorites: Prada Fall/Winter 2015 Collection
I am inspired by so many things, I decided that on Fridays, I will highlight a favorite person, thing, or idea. Maybe you will be inspired too! See all past Friday Favorites here.
I haven’t done a Friday Favorites post in quite a while…
So, New York Fashion Week happened in February. And I am a quilter and an upcycler, so obviously I wasn’t involved :D. However, after studying fashion design in college, and working in the apparel design industry for several years (not for anybody that showed at New York Fashion week, mind you, but we all still anticipated and carefully watched what designers were showing during these important times of the year), I still secretly indulge in looking at what the designers are showing. (If you, too, are interested, these shows can be watch live online at places like Fashion Week Live, and videos of the shows usually live on the designers individual websites as well.)
I was completely gobsmacked in love with Prada’s Fall/Winter 2015 Collection. Forget that the models look bothered and annoyed, I love every piece, every strange color, every bowed epaulette, every oversized brooch. It’s weird, beautiful, and what I love about fashion. One of each please! Here’s a link to the video of the show, which is about 8 minutes.
Oh Miuccia, I love you still! (I have to thank Kayte for calling my attention to this collection, she is loving it too!
