I am very excited to be a featured instructor at Modern Domestic’s very first Home Sewn Weekend event!
What is this event, you ask?
It’s a 3 day event taking place October 10, 11, 12, at Modern Domestic’s beautiful sewing studio in Portland, OR. There are exciting sewing events and special guests throughout the weekend.

The ever inspiring Lizzy House will be carrying participants through the making of her Meadow Quilt. I love this quilt. You will too! She will also be carrying you through an Pearl Bracelet-inspired embroidery project, as well as another secret surprise project.
Susan Beal will be officially launching her newest book, Hand-stitched Home: Projects to Sew with Pendleton and Other Wools. A cowl project from the book starts us off on Friday morning.
There will also be a studio tour at the new design offices of Colette Patterns! (As someone who is busy purging and redesigning my studio, I personally am especially excited about this part.)
I will be leading everyone through my Faux Bois stitch technique in pillow form on Friday afternoon, October 10th. Throughout the event, I will also have projects from my book displayed for you to get your hands on (touching encouraged!).
It will be a wonderful weekend, filled with food, fun, and some beautiful projects to start off the Fall season. We would love you to join us. Space is quite limited, so reserve soon. Complete details are here. You can secure a spot online here, or by calling the Modern Domestic ladies at (503) 808-9910.
