Noticing More Details Everywhere
Now that I am sketching each day, I find myself actively looking for inspiration and noticing details everywhere. Lots of stopping and taking pictures of things to sketch once I’m home. Feels nice to slow down this way.
I painted the feathers I found in watercolor here.
The hydrangeas and the fir saplings in our neighbor’s yard inspired these watercolors.
This pink flower inspired this watercolor.
Having so much fun with this project!

September 19, 2012 at 8:19 amI am loving this project. I wonder if you could address either here or on The Sketchbook Project the tools each of you are using? As someone just starting out down this road, I find that interesting. Thanks for sharing!

September 20, 2012 at 8:48 pmI’ve decided even if mine are bad, I will post them, because its all a part of the process of learning. I keep telling myself they aren’t supposed to be print ready images, just sketches. But I love doing it every day (at least right now!). Thank you Tammie!
