The Gridline Block of the Month class was asking for a new sample.

So I decided to make one that was totally different from the original sample.

This one is in Robert Kaufman Essex Cotton/Linen in Licorice and I loved it more and more with every stitch! I used lots of hand dyed embroidery floss on this one and broke the color rules that some have said are the hallmark of true Chicken Scratch embroidery–to only stitch with one color.
