The Dash Quiltalong starts on June 9!

How about sewing up a Dash quilt with me?
It’s been way too long since I’ve done a quiltalong. And what better way to celebrate the release of my newest quilt pattern Dash? Than a Dash Quiltalong!

Dash is wonderfully scrappy
My heart belongs to quilts full of printed fabrics. It took me years to realize this, but once I did, I’ve been laser focused ever since.
The real beauty of Dash is that you can pull all kinds of fabrics from your stash (whether they were ever meant to go together or not) and create cohesion with all of them in the same design by using the concepts of color value. Color value is my favorite way to make scrappy quilts and use lots of my favorite prints together in the same design. But admittedly, it does take a bit of practice to get comfortable doing a quilt this way.
So why not give us all some encouragement and tips in the form of a quiltalong?
Here’s what you need to know
The quiltalong begins on June 9th, and lasts for 5 weeks. Each week, there will be prompts to move us along in making the Dash design, videos, helpful tips, and prizes! Fill out the form below to have the quiltalong-specific email content delivered to your inbox every Monday during the quiltalong. It’ll have links to everything new for you that week-
The cover quilt on the Dash pattern uses a full fat quarter set of the Pretty Things fabric collection designed by Denyse Schmidt for Windham. This fabric is in stores now, as well my friends at Sewtopia are offering kits for Dash if you want to make the cover quilt, which is a throw size.
I will also be offering tips on pulling fabrics from your stash and creating a scrappy quilt using fabrics that may not immediately seem to go together, but will when I take you through my tips and method of dividing up by color value.
I will also be demonstrating how I use my Ruby Ruler®, my constant design companion whenever I am creating a scrappy quilt design.
Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to get all the video content over there as well.
I’m very excited to make a new Dash sample for the studio, and show you how to dip into your stash and start making your own Dash!
