Making Christmas ornaments is one of my absolute favorite holiday crafts. Because of it, we have way too many, there is rarely room on the tree for all of them. But I can’t stop myself! I made these as a quick, small little acorn ornaments to sell at some holiday fairs and I wanted to share them here. I am really inspired by nature these days… sketching it or altering bits of it here and there. These little stuffed acorns can be used as ornaments, garland, and package toppers. You can get all your supplies together and make a batch of them relatively quick.
I didn’t know it was possible to achieve Sewing Superstar status, but I am happy to have gotten there somehow, thanks to Cat Morley’s wonderful website Cut Out + Keep. There will be interviews and projects of mine posted all week over there, go have a look!
If you, like me, decided not to host the big Thanksgiving dinner this year, you may change your mind after making these. A mismatched set secondhand plates get a completely new look with ceramic paint. No need mad artistic skills, just have fun. It’s a great project to do with friends, so grab your besties, put on a movie, and start painting!READ MORE
