There are quilts for slow stitching by hand. Quilts you can piece by machine. Curves, appliqué, English paper piecing, clever strip piecing, oversized blocks, glorious scraps, bold colour and plenty of opportunities to rummage through your fabric stash looking for just one more print. Make an entire quilt, make a block or two for a smaller project, or just take a creative prompt for the beautiful photos and corresponding patterns.

These are full patterns for the quilts you see in its pages, not just quick tutorials. In addition, if you are looking to recreate the quilt you see on the page, there are opportunities to purchase kits for many of them. Each page of the calendar has a QR code that can take you to exclusive information on that designer, quilt pattern, etc.

My newest pattern, Arda, is available exclusively in the 2027 Patchwork Calendar and is the July calendar page (pictured with baby chubs from a new member of our extended family). This pattern was such a labor of love, and it makes me especially happy to have this one out in the world. An original version of this quilt was designed for my book, Wise Craft Quilts. The idea behind this quilt was that the pieces were small enough to raid your scrap bin, swap and trade with your friends, or cut little pieces from beloved but tattered pieces of clothing and other significant cloth in your life.

This new version of the pattern has updated and more complete instructions and has been redesigned with more standard piecing sizes. As with all my scrappy quilts, it uses dark, medium, and light color value over many printed fabrics, and my Ruby Ruler® to help you pick up on those subtle color value differences that can really make a scrappy quilt like this glow. The full pattern includes instructions to make Mini quilt, Throw, Twin, Queen, and King sizes. There are clear illustrations, QR codes to take you to videos, links, and finishing information to help you along the way.

But here’s the thing to know. You have to get it soon.

The purchasing window for the calendar is October 7-12, 2026. That’s it! After that, it goes away. Like honestly, really. It goes away.
