Camp Thundercraft
Have you heard of Camp Thundercraft? A weekend retreat happening here, in the Pacific Northwest, on beautiful Vashon Island, April 13-15. This retreat is geared towards people like me, who own or are starting small creative businesses and want to spend a weekend getting recharged and inspired among like-minded folks. Organized by the same folks who are responsible for Urban Craft Uprising, this is the kind of weekend we creative folks really need.
When I was asked to be a part of this special weekend, I didn’t hesitate. The energy from being with a group of creative people, bouncing ideas off of and learning from each other is so energizing to me. I will be part of a panel discussion about publishing a book about your passion, and I will also be teaching a Sashiko stitching class, because these days I think hand stitching (which I also refer to as Slow Stitching) is the very best way to recharge from a day of creatively conquering the world. If you sign up for this class, you can purchase a sashiko starter kit with everything you need to learn and keep stitching in my shop and I will deliver it to you at camp.
And I’m really excited that my husband, Peter, will also be teaching a workshop. Peter has been a retail brand strategist for many years, both as an independent consultant and, these days, as principal partner at MG2. He knows the retail industry from alot of different angles and will be sharing his wisdom on how to make your brand stand out in a noisy world. (In a nutshell, he’s smart!)
See a full list of classes here. Registration ends on March 31. Hope to see you there!
