Join me at Quiltcon 2020

I will be joining the faculty of amazing instructors at Quiltcon 2020 in Austin, Texas! Happening Wednesday, February 19- Sunday, February 23.

I will be teaching 2 sessions each of 2 different workshops-

Boro-Inspired Stitching

Choose workshop PIE201 or PIE204– We will learn the process of creating a Boro-inspired quilt, like the one I made for my book Wise Craft Quilts (and was part of the quilts displayed at Quiltcon 2018). These pieces combine both hand and machine piecing of the base fabric, and I will share lots of tips on how to create and effective composition, how to choose how much of each color, and how to add hand stitching details.

Mastering Color Value

Choose workshop # DES002 or DES010- There are some really fun things you can do in quilting once you spend a little bit of time understanding what color value is all about. In this workshop, we will learn to understand how color value is all relative, based on the how a fabric’s value is relative to what is beside it. Use these new knowledge to create amazing depth in any quilt you make!
Download the Quiltcon catalog and begin planning your trip. You will need the codes listed above when signing up for the workshops. Registration opens on June 25 at 10am ET for Modern Quilt Guild members, it will open for the general public on July 10.
I attended Quiltcon the last time it was held in Austin in 2018 and had such a great time! A beautiful city, and on top of that, quilting every day made the trip pretty much perfect for me! This year I am very excited to see the special exhibit , Plain & Modern: Esprit Collection of Lancaster County Amish Quilts.
Not a member of the Modern Quilt Guild? Join here. Members will get priority registration on 6/25.
Hope to see some of you there!
