I love using a stiletto when I sew, but I didn’t always!

There was a time when I didn’t even know what it was, or that it existed. And when I first heard of it, I thought “why not just pin”. But there are many times that we do things like overpin a fiddly seam (which actually can make the sewing worse). Or just line up points with our fingers, say a quick prayer to the sewing gods, and hope for the best. The more I used a sewing stiletto, the more I began to see how useful it can be.

And I also stopped pinning almost entirely!
