New Project Bags
Brand new in the shop, these custom made project bags! Finally a perfectly-sized place to stash my current project!
Oh man, I love a good project bag. Its a weird sense of comfort I feel when I know that everything is in there, and that, even if I don’t, I can pick it up and start hand sewing (or crocheting…. or knitting…. or punch needling…). I saw these project bags made by my friend Jonah (whose goes by the brand Belly of a Whale) and I snatched one up immediately. They have a box bottom, so when they are opened up on your work table, the bag stands upright and open. She agreed to make some for me (despite my last minute request during the busiest season of the year for hand makers).
I chose these two colorways because they reminded me of the Southwest (we have family in New Mexico). The clean, graphic feel of the yarn dyed stripes is so pretty. Above is the Sand/Navy colorway. Below is the Gray/Red colorway.
When you are ready to close up and go home, you can put everything back in the bag, cinch, and tie up the drawstring. Everything is safe inside til the next time.
Jonah has so many great details on these bags, I love the leather handle. She even hand stamped Wise Craft on them. I go into downtown Seattle a few days a week by bus, and usually have some sort of tote bag with me. I love that this bag fits right in, very easy to grab when I’m ready to stitch.
