2 new Block of the Months now available!

Nothing like a strong, looming deadline like Quiltcon over my head to make the first quarter of 2025 super productive! Met so many folks, and had so many fun chats!
You asked for it! And now it’s here!
I have had several folks ask if I would ever consider doing the Block of the Month programs I formerly only offered in my Quilt As Desired membership (which is no longer active) as stand along BOMs. While I had no time to even consider this until now, I am very happy to announce that they are finally available!
The first BOM is Estrela. The Portugese word for “star”, this BOM celebrates all kinds of star blocks. By following the lessons and learning about how to divide your fabric stash by light, medium, and dark color value, and by using design tools like my Ruby Ruler® to make these value judgements, you are able to consider the fabrics in your stash in a very different way than just looking at it by color, pattern, or designer.
Learn to design a scrappy quilt with intention
It may seem daunting to create a super scrappy look like the images below, but don’t worry. I break it all down for you so you can take it step by step. You will gain a real understanding of the power of using color value.
And then, there is Savannah. Inspired by the terrain I saw from the windows of airplanes when I started traveling again in late 2021, this one, like Estrela, will also be the best if its made with fabric from your stash. I say it plenty, but most of us have way more fabric than we’ll ever make quilts with. And all that fabric in our stash was purchased, gathered, gifted, etc by us. It tells a story of our likes, possibly our obsessions with certain fabric designers, our dislikes, etc.
Your fabric stash is a true reflection of YOU as an artist and quilt maker
Let’s translate all of that story into a patchwork quilt like Savannah! We will explore the concepts of color value and apply it to the fabrics in our stash. We will learn to allow fabrics and patterns to sit beside each other in a quilt without thinking to hard about it, and we will learn how to be brave with color and pattern!
Each Block of the Month program is offered as a complete stand alone, and the price for the full BOM is $95.
No additional monthly fees, no surprise renewals. You buy it once and own it forever.
When you purchase the BOM and go in the classroom, you will see content already waiting for you. Then in 30 days (Estrela) and 15 days (Savannah), you will be notified via email that there is new content for you inside the classroom. Each program is a full 12-13 months, and will take you through each block step by step. You will come out on the other side having a much better understanding of what is in your stash. Better yet, the quilt you make in each of these will be a full reflection of that stash- what is in it, what you love from it, etc.
Join either BOM and start right away!
