Back in February, right when I got back home from Quiltcon, I hosted Carol Veillon, editor of Simply Moderne Magazine at my studio. It was such a treat to have her to my studio. Truth be told, I usually am forced to do a deep clean of my space when visitors are due to arrive, the studio got a very nice, much needed tidy up two days prior to her visit (always a good thing!).

I will be discussing different strategies for cleaning and stabilizing vintage fabrics to use in your quilts. One of my favorite things to do with vintage fabrics is incorporate them in my quilt designs, but they often need a little help to make them clean, strong, and ready to be used in a quilt design.
I recently did a fun project for the folks at ByHand Serial, for their Lookbook #5. Coming off the fun of the Sashiko stitchalong , as well as the acceptance of the Boro quilt from Wise Craft Quilts into QuiltCon next month, I was itching to make some more hand stitching-inspired projects.
